Is Location Really the Key in regards to Real Estate Values?
When looking to invest in real estate there are a few factors that could affect your real estate values.
Location is the number one factor when determining real estate value. Properties that are in desirable locations have more value than similar properties located in less desirable locations.
Other things to consider when thinking about real estate development is school districts distance to shopping as well as points of interest in the area.
Another factor is what the surrounding area looks like; obviously an area that has a lot of abandoned homes is not going to be a good place to invest. Unlike an area that has well maintained properties is going to retain a higher property value.
Properties that have been renovated (when done correctly) have higher property values than homes that need major renovations.
